The thonik design philosophy is deeply intertwined with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a collection of 17 global objectives set by the United Nations to address the world’s most pressing challenges by 2030. These goals range from eliminating poverty and hunger to achieving gender equality and tackling climate change, all aimed at promoting prosperity while protecting the planet. The SDGs serve as a guiding principle in all our projects, reflecting our commitment to using design as a powerful tool for social change.
One such project that embodies our dedication to these principles was our contribution to the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) conference in Paris. Tasked with creating a poster, we chose to focus on the intricate relationship between 'justice' and 'peace'—two core elements of the SDGs that are crucial for sustainable development worldwide. Our aim was to visually articulate how justice is not only a prerequisite for peace but how both are foundational to achieving all other SDGs.
This project, like all our work at thonik, shows our belief that design can and should be a catalyst for positive global change. We strive to not only illuminate the importance of the SDGs but to inspire action towards their realisation in every community around the globe.
